As the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) approaches, St. Brother Andre Senior High School has taken proactive steps to position its final-year students for academic excellence.
In collaboration with the Child Alert Foundation, the school organized an impactful program dubbed the “Examination Excellence Clinic”, designed to help students master the Core Four subjects; English Language, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Integrated Science.

The event brought together seasoned educators, examiners, and facilitators from the Child Alert Foundation, all dedicated to equipping students with practical knowledge and examination techniques.
Mr. Enoch Justice Yebuah, Director of Child Alert Foundation, spoke about the foundation’s mission, focusing on student excellence and academic perfection. He emphasised that helping students overcome exam fears and understand marking schemes is central to their cause.
Mr. Frederick Yaw Korang, Programs Director of the foundation, addressed the importance of writing clear, structured English to influence examiners and boost grades.

In a focused session on Mathematics, Madam Rebecca Omumah, a WASSCE examiner, walked students through practical methods of solving questions and stressed the importance of step-by-step accuracy.
Mr. Seku, another experienced English language examiner, gave students insider tips on approaching comprehension, essay writing, and grammar to maximise marks.

To wrap up the clinic, Mr. Eric Oppong Kwaa, a senior examiner in Integrated Science, gave an eye-opening session on common mistakes students make during the exam and what they can do differently to succeed.
The school administration commended the initiative and encouraged students to maximize the insights gained.
